Emma Rees, Serial Entrepreneur, Founder @ Deployed (Enterprise Tech), Founder @ Blow Bar (B2C / On-demand)At Deployed, a Microsoft Ventures backed Enterprise start up, I've prioritised an inclusive, remote-first culture while successfully raising $4 million USD to build a business that's both sustainable and category-defining. Recently moved to an Executive Chair role with additional new investment. My entrepreneurial journey began in B2C with a five location chain in London UK called Blow Bar, a tech-enabled, on-demand beauty service, blending the convenience of digital platforms with the personal touch of in-store fast beauty experiences.While at Deployed, I was awarded the Melinda Gates Female Founders award, applied and won two Innovate UK government grants, and was shortlisted for the Tech Nation Rising Star award. I've proven that women can drive significant change in the tech landscape, where less than 0.2% of women found enterprise technology companies.My mission now extends to mentoring and coaching emerging entrepreneurs, focusing on critical success factors, establishing a strong company culture, creating effective processes for remote and hybrid teams, navigating investment pitches amidst unconscious bias, implementing and managing OKRs, and leading sales and marketing through alignment and thought leadership.
